The Reservation Agent is the first point of contact for many potential guests, playing a vital role in creating a positive first impression and driving sales. You will be responsible for assisting customers with booking reservations, answering their questions about our offerings, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from customers via phone, email, or in
person (depending on the company)
- Secure reservations for rooms, tables, appointments, or other
services based on customer needs and preferences
- Access and utilize reservation systems to check availability,
pricing, and promotions
- Process payments and send confirmation details to customers
- Modify or cancel reservations as requested by the customer
- Upsell or recommend additional services or upgrades that may
enhance the customer’s experience
- Answer questions about amenities, rates, policies, and
procedures
- Maintain a clean and accurate database of customer information
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with reservations
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on exceeding
expectations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer skills, including reservation systems
and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- A positive and professional attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures
- Working knowledge of the hospitality industry (preferred, but
not always required)
